Description

Snigel Design is a primary supplier of the German Army's new modular backpack system, having been awarded a large contract to equip the Bundeswehr with over 250,000 backpacks of various sizes.

Physical Description

The Snigel Design products in use by the German Army include two main components that form an expandable system:

110-Liter System (Mission Backpack): This large rucksack is designed for multi-day missions and heavy loads. It features an internal frame and is a top-loader with a front opening for easy access. A key feature is the ability to attach side pouches via zippers, expanding the capacity.

30-Liter Daypack (Daypack Einsatzsystem): This is a smaller, mission-proven pack used for shorter operations or as an "assault pack". It can be carried independently or attached to the larger 110L system. It shares the modular side-zipper feature for attaching side pouches, allowing it to expand its capacity up to around 50L to 110L with additional pouches not included in the base issue.
